Under HP Sale, a customer needs to pay a prescribed amount as Down payment. The residual  amount is payable in equal monthly instalments which can range from six to twenty four months. The Monthly Instalment so payable is determined by using the Standard Budget Book.

If a customer buys a product on Hire Purchase and later decides to settle his/her dues within sixty days then that consumer does not need to pay any additional amount – only the cash selling price would suffice.
